Account & billing

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every Deep Dive and Scholar subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. No charge until day 31, and you can cancel anytime during the trial.

How do I manage my subscription?

If you subscribed on the web, sign in at versescholar.com, open Profile → Billing, and use the Manage Plan section to switch tier, change billing period, or cancel.

If you subscribed through the iOS app, your subscription is managed by Apple — open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad to change tier, change billing period, or cancel. If you subscribed through the Android app, your subscription is managed by Google Play — open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You can also tap Manage from Profile → Billing inside the app on either platform.

How do I request a refund?

For web purchases (Stripe), email support@versescholar.com with your receipt and we’ll process the refund.

For purchases made in the iOS app, refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For purchases made in the Android app, refunds are handled by Google Play at play.google.com/store/account. We can’t process app-store purchase refunds directly.

I bought credits or a subscription in the app but don’t see them

Open the Verse Scholar app, go to Profile → Billing, and tap Restore Purchases. This re-validates your receipt with Apple or Google Play and re-grants any prior purchases on your account.

If the issue persists after a restore, email us with your account email and the approximate purchase time.

I have a promo code

Sign in on the web at versescholar.com, open Profile → Credits, then tap Have a promo code? at the bottom of the credit packs grid. Enter your code and apply.

Using the app

What does “Quick / Deep Dive / Scholar” mean?

Every verse in Verse Scholar can be studied at three depth levels. Quick is a short summary for fast reading. Deep Dive adds historical and cross-reference context. Scholar includes seminary-grade exegesis with Hebrew and Greek analysis.

How do credits work?

Credits power generated research — Deep Dive analysis, sermon outlines, character studies, and other AI-powered tools. You can buy credit packs that never expire. Subscribers save on every pack — Deep Dive members get 10% or more off, Scholar members get 25% or more off. Reading the Bible, bookmarking, and Quick summaries are always free.

Which translations are available?

Verse Scholar ships with 14 Bible translations spanning major modern and traditional versions. Translations live in the Bible tab and can be switched per chapter or compared side-by-side.
